My thoughts

I was 17 years old when I attempted to read Deception Point and then Inferno. In both cases I lost interest after the first 2-3 chapters. In spite of my being a science student, my interest was not stimulated. Too science-y for me. Such irony! 😅 I decided then that Dan Brown is not my cup of tea.

Cut to 13 years later, when I chose to read The Secret of Secrets, giving a one last try to read a Dan Brown. This time I was hooked from the prologue itself. My flight journey back home became much more interesting amidst the pages of the book.

The theories and hypotheses, logic behind them, the attention to detail to the characters and the setting and its cultural and historical characteristics — had me enthralled.

It\’s quite a lengthy book but didn\’t find myself minding it much, except toward the ending, after the climax.

I am now looking forward to reading Da Vinci Code and Inferno which are already in my shelf.
